Local Results and Analysis on Election Night Cable Channel


TV viewers wanting a quick fix on local election results can tune to cable Community Channel 27 from 10 PM throughout the night on Tuesday, November 4. Results and commentary on San Mateo and Santa Clara County races will be the primary focus on the channel programmed by the Midpeninsula Community Media Center. Channel 27 is also webcast and the link can be found on the Media Center web site at: http://www.communitymediacenter.net/watch/schedules/index.html.

Hosts Duane Bay, former Mayor of East Palo Alto, and Jamie Shepard, President of the South San Mateo County League of Women Voters, will speak with candidates in the hotly contested East Palo Alto races for city council and Ravenswood District school board from 10 PM to 11:30 PM. They’ll also cover the council races in Menlo Park and Atherton and conduct interviews about the Palo Alto Library Improvement Measure and the Santa Clara County transportation measures.

Following the 90 minute election analysis segment, Channel 27 will continue to display updated results for all the races and measures in the midpeninsula as well as the State Propositions.

“MEET CITY MANAGER JIM KEENE”

DEBUTS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2008

The Media Center announces the debut of MEET CITY MANAGER JIM KEENE on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 1 o’clock p.m. on Channel 27.

The show was produced by Media Center Production Manager Karen Adams and hosted by Media Center Producer Louise Pencavel. MEET CITY MANAGER JIM KEENE is the latest installment of the MC Forum, an occasional series of programs devoted to community issues and concerns.

Mr. Keene, who holds arguably the most power and influential position in the city, brings with him a reputation as a “hands-on” manager with attention to even the smallest details. During his interview with Ms. Pencavel, Mr. Keene describes himself, his background and his goals.

The show will run through the rest of October and through November on Channel 27. Click for additional playback times.
