Donation Drive for InnVision


Happy Holidays Everyone!

This holiday season, the Media Center is hosting donations for the less fortunate in our community. Items will be given to InnVision, a non-profit dedicated to empowering homeless and at-risk families and individuals., to be distributed to families in need. Donations will be collected in designated areas in our lobby, between December 1-10. On December 10 during our holiday event, donations will be collected in the corridor outside the studio.

The items listed below are on InnVision's wish list as an immediate need, so please follow these donation guidelines. For more information about InnVision, visit http://www.innvision.org/ or see the end of this email. Thank you for your participation!


FOOD
Non-perishable food, especially the following:
* Coffee, tea, powdered hot cocoa
* Sugar, powdered creamer
* Canned foods #10 size
* Soup base
* 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes
* Concentrated Juice Mix, powdered or liquid
* Canned Hams
* Meals in a can (soups, stews, chili)
* Gift Certificates
* 8oz Mugs
* 10oz Bowls
* Washable Spoons and Forks


HOLIDAY GIFTS (UNWRAPPED)
• Stocking stuffers, books, stuffed animals, and toys for kids and teens
Please donate only new or like new items.
If possible, please bring your own box (we have a limited supply). Suggested size: 10” x 12” x 15” (file storage size).


CLOTHING (For men, women and children)
These items especially:
• Rain ponchos, all sizes
• Wool socks
• Jackets, hats, sweatshirts, sweaters, raincoats
• Jeans/khakis
• Men's shirts
• New Socks and Underwear
• Tennis shoes for all ages and genders
• Children's shoes
• Adult size work boots
• Rain boots


OTHER
• Travel size umbrellas
• Toiletries - personal size shampoos, conditioner, lotion,
shave cream, mouthwash, razors, and soap
• Towels
• Toasters, irons, coffee makers, and hair dryers
• Diapers, blankets, strollers, car seats
• Sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows, mattress pads
(especially twin size)


ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:
* No Televisions
* No Computers
* No Mattresses or furniture
• No sports equipment
• No large appliances

InnVision is dedicated to empowering homeless and at-risk families and individuals. InnVision addresses the multiple needs of people in transition, including emergency shelters, transitional/supportive housing, food, clothing, showers, laundry, healthcare, job training, classes, children’s programs and access to telephones and computers.

HOUSING
On the peninsula, InnVision provides temporary, longer-term and permanent housing with supportive services for men, women, and families.

SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Resources and tools for self-sufficiency are provided at a variety of locations throughout Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

FOOD
Urban Ministry Food Closet – Distributes canned goods, fresh produce, dairy products and bread to very low-income residents of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park.

Urban Ministry Breaking Bread Hot Meals – Each day a free hot meal is provided at churches in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Over 30,000 hot meals are served each year.

Family Harvest – Monthly grocery distribution to registered very low-income families.
