9 WAVE Plaques Come Home!

I attended the WAVE Awards Ceremony Saturday night at the Holiday Inn near Old Town Sacramento.  I was joined by several nominees from the Media Center.   Of the close to 20 nominees from the Media Center, 8 producers were honored.  But we brought home 9 plaques as Beth Charlesworth one in two categories.  Congrats to all!

I have to say a huge THANK YOU to Access Sacramento for putting on a bang-up conference.  The sessions were smart and informative, food was great, hotel service really excellent and the location was fun, and really inexpensive - $150.00 for the weekend.  WOW!   But most of all -- the producers, volunteers and staff of community media really are the best.

When your time to give a little comes around, please continue to support the Media Center by all means, but don't forget that our umbrella organizations do a lot for us on the regional and national level as regards government policies toward grassroots media.  Check our acmwest.org and alliancecm.org  to find out more about our organization.
