You never want to pull the curtain on the voting booth, stare blankly at the names, and start reciting "eeny-meeny-miny-moe." This is the kind of off-year election where it's hard to find much information about candidates and measures - especially for local races such as the Menlo Park Fire Protection District where five candidates are vying for three seats.
Never fear, information is here. And even better, we have videos of the candidates that allow you to compare how they each present themselves and communicate.
In our ongoing partnerships with the League of Women Voters we are videotaping the following candidate forums and debates. The forums are for San Mateo County voters in partnership with the League's South San Mateo County Branch and a debate on Palo Alto Measure D is in partnership with the Palo Alto Branch. You can attend the forums in person or catch them on cable TV or on demand. We'll have our election page up next week with all the quicklinks. If you attend in person, you can submit a question for the candidates.
